Notes:
Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from
qualified contractors to provide annual inspections on 16 emergency generators
located in various buildings on the ISU Campus for the Department of Residence
(DoR) Department
Contractors should read all materials carefully and note the due date.
Contractors must submit all questions in the "Questions" tab related to this bid
opportunity.
There will be a MANDITORY pre-bid meeting, see the Activity Tab. Hold all
questions until the pre-bid meeting.
All bid responses will be completed through the ISUBid system.

MANDITORY Pre-bid/site visit meeting

There will be an MANDATORY pre-bid/site visit meeting due to the nature of this RFP/RFQ. Hold all questions
about the bid until the pre-bid meeting.
ATTENDANCE AT THE PRE-BID MEETING/SITE VISIT IS REQUIRED. Failure to attend or have representation at this
meeting will result in the Contractor being ineligible to participate in the competitive bid process. This requirement is
for all Contractors even if Contractor has been awarded this Contract in the past.
We will be visiting all the locations during site visit and there will be some walking around buildings/campus so please
dress accordingly and plan your schedule accordingly.
Pre-bid meeting information:
location: Meeting will start in Room 1155 Administrative Services Building (ASB), 2221 Wanda Daley Dr., Ames, IA
50010. Parking meters are available in the parking lot directly south of ASB and to the west of ASB.
Please email: wkfoster@iastate.edu with your intent to attend this pre-bid/site visit.
No verbal statements by ISU or its representatives at this meeting will be binding. ISU will post all changes and material
clarifications in the form of an addenda after the meeting.

2 General Informaiton
ISU is seeking bids from Contractors to provide annual inspections of 16 emergency generators located in various
buildings on the ISU campus for the Department of Residence (DoR).
Contract Term: The contract shall begin on February 1, 2024 and extend through January 31, 2029. Pricing must be firm through
January 31, 2027. During the last 2 year of the contract (Feb 2027- Jan 2028 & Feb 2028- Jan 2029 , Contractor may propose a price
increase once during each of the two 1 year periods and the increase will not exceed the escalation percentage provided on Attributes
Tab.
ISU reserves the right to award or not award this bid as best suites the needs of the Univesity.

3 Provide names of Supervisors & technicians that would be involved in inspections at ISU, their length
of time in that position, & Certifications/qualifications
(I.E. Bob Smith, Generator Technician, 32 years, certifications/qualifications of individual

inspections are schedule at ISU.
