Notes:
Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from
qualified contractors to provide commercial hood fire suppression system
inspections for ISU Dining Services, Department of Residence (DOR) and FP&M in
various buildings around the ISU campus .
There will be a Mandatory pre-bid meeting, see Activities Tab. Attendance at
the pre-bid meeting is mandatory for all Contractors even if the Contractor has been
awarded this Contract in the past.
PLEASE HOLD ALL QUESTIONS FOR THIS BID AND BRING THEM TO THE
MANDATORY PREBID/SITE VISIT MEETING
Contractors should read all materials carefully and note the due date.
Contractors must submit all questions in the "Questions" tab related to this bid
opportunity.

MANDATORY Pre-Bid/Site Visit Meeting

There will be an MANDATORY pre-bid/site visit meeting due to the nature of this RFP/RFQ. Hold all questions about the bid until the pre-
bid meeting.
ATTENDANCE AT THE PRE-BID/SITE VISIT MEETING IS REQUIRED. Failure to attend or have representation at this meeting
will result in the Contractor being ineligible to participate in the competitive bid process. This requirement is for all Contractors
even if Contractor has been awarded this Contract in the past.
ISU will provide site visits (right after the pre-bid meeting) to see the systems/buildings. Please email wkfoster@iastate.edu
with your intent to attend this Mandatory pre-bid/site visit meeting and which systems/buildings you want to visit during the site
visit. Providing this information will help ISU with planning the site visit duration and schedule. We may visit all
locations/buildings and walking between buildings/around campus will be required so schedule your time accordingly and wear
comfortable shoes/clothing necessary for the day.

location: Room 1230 EH&S Learning Center 2408 Wanda Daley Dr., Ames, IA 50011. Please enter in the east doors.
Parking meters can be found in front of and to the west of the Administrative Services (which currently closed) 2221
Wanda Daley Dr., lots 120 A, 124, and 121 (south of ASB building).

No verbal statements by ISU or its representatives at this meeting will be binding. ISU will post all changes and material
clarifications in the form of an addenda after the meeting.

2 General Information
Iowa State University is soliciting information from qualified Contractors to provide semi-annual commercial hood fire
suppression system inspections for various ISU Departments: Dining Services, DoR and FP&M.
Contract Term: The contract shall begin on July 1 2024 and extend through June 30, 2029. Pricing shall be firm
through June 30, 2027. During the last 2 years of the contract (July 1, 2027- June 30, 2028 and July 1, 2028 -
June 30, 2029) Contractor may propose a price increase once during each of the two 1-year periods and the
increase will not exceed the escalation percentage on the Attributes Tab.
ISU reserves the right to award or not award this bid as best suites the needs of the University
