Project Description: Toho Water Authority is soliciting qualified contractors to provide comprehensive inspection, preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair services for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems located throughout its operational facilities. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the continued reliability, performance, and operational integrity of critical electrical backup systems supporting water treatment, wastewater treatment, lift stations, administrative facilities, and related infrastructure.
The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, technical expertise, tools, equipment, testing instruments, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform routine inspections and maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, applicable industry standards, and Toho Water Authority operational requirements.
UPS systems play a critical role in maintaining uninterrupted electrical power during utility outages, voltage fluctuations, and other power disturbances. These systems support sensitive and mission-critical equipment, including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, communication equipment, instrumentation, security systems, and operational controls throughout Toho Water Authority facilities. Continuous operation of treatment processes, monitoring systems, communication networks, and critical control equipment is essential to maintain regulatory compliance, public health, environmental protection, and customer service reliability.
Due to the critical nature of these systems, Toho Water Authority requires a proactive inspection and maintenance program to ensure all UPS equipment remains in optimal operating condition. Preventive maintenance services are necessary to identify potential failures before they occur, maintain manufacturer warranty compliance, improve system reliability, and reduce the likelihood of unexpected service interruptions.
