REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
To Provide Professional Engineering Services
For
Work Order 386
State Street Sidewalk Crossing Improvements

The City of Lake Oswego invites your Engineering Consulting Firm to submit a proposal to provide professional engineering services for the preliminary design of Work Order 386, State Street Sidewalk Crossing Improvements.

The objective of the Project is to assist the City in planning, analyzing and conceptualizing solutions of 2 current sidewalk ADA crossings over existing Portland & Western Railroad (owned by GWRR) at State Street. The 8 wide foot sidewalk crosses the rail near the City’s trolley station along the east side of State street. Along the west side of State Street, the sidewalk crosses the rail near the south end of Lake View Village. See Appendix A for exact project location.

Consultant shall develop three alternatives to concept-level predesign sufficient to establish approximate survey and construction limits, planning-level cost estimates, quantities, and major construction activities. Each alternative must have an alignment developed that meets minimum design standards per PROWAG, and applicable Local State and City Agency standards.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held virtually on Webex on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

Any amendments to this RFP will be in writing and will be issued to all persons or businesses that have registered to receive RFP amendments.
