Centre of New England Boulevard
Sealed bids for construction of the Hopkins Hill Road Traffic Signal Installation Project for
the Town of Coventry will be received at the Coventry Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall,
1670 Flat River Road, Coventry, RI 02816 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday,
June 9, 2026. Said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Town Council Chambers,
Town Hall, 1670 Flat River Road at 2:05 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
The Town of Coventry reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities in a
bid, to make awards to separate bidders, to make awards to more than one bidder or to accept
that bid or bids which in the judgment of the awarding authority is in the best interest of the Town.
Paper copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained on or after Monday, May 18, 2026, at
the Coventry Department of Public Works, 1668 Flat River Road, Coventry, RI 02816, on
weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., upon payment of $50.00 (NONREFUNDABLE) for each
set, or to obtain electronic copies at no cost, send an email request to Mr. Paul Bannon at
paul.bannon@crossmaneng.com. Please put Hopkins Hill Road Traffic Signal Installation Project
in the subject line. Certified checks or money orders shall be made payable to the "Town of Coventry".
A mandatory Prebid Conference will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, commencing at
10:00 a.m. at the project site located at the Hopkins Hill Road intersection with Centre of New
England Boulevard. Any request for interpretation of plans and specifications may be submitted
in writing at that time. Bidders will have an opportunity to view the site work following the Prebid
Conference.
The Bid Envelope must be clearly marked "Traffic Signal Installation".
