RFP #26-016: Food Service Renovations at Multiple Campuses

Project Description: Tarrant County College District is soliciting proposals for RFP #26-016, Food Service Renovations at Multiple Campuses. The project consists of renovations to existing kitchen and food service areas at three Tarrant County College campuses:
• Northeast Campus, 828 W. Harwood Road, Hurst, Texas 76054, Building NSTU
• Southeast Campus, 2100 Southeast Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76018, Building ESEC
• South Campus, 5301 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, Texas, Building SSTU
The primary purpose of the project is the addition of fryer equipment and associated improvements to the existing food service operations at each location.
The work is anticipated to be performed under a single prime, lump-sum construction contract and includes all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, coordination, and incidentals necessary to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The scope includes removal and/or salvage of existing equipment; purchase and installation of new food service equipment; selective demolition; modifications to existing conditions; and installation and modification of electrical, mechanical, exhaust, ductwork, and other utilities necessary to support the new equipment. Work also includes associated cutting, patching, repairs, testing and balancing, metal fabrication where indicated, and coordination with existing occupied facilities. All work is to comply with TCCD Technical Design Guidelines and the applicable requirements of the Contract Documents.
At South Campus, the Base Bid is to include a $30,000 cash allowance for potential repairs or replacement of existing ductwork associated with the hood serving the new fryer, based upon investigation of the existing ductwork. At Southeast Campus, the project also includes an alternate associated with replacement of the existing exhaust fan, subject to the findings of HVAC testing and balancing.
Budget for the entire project, which includes all costs, not just for this RFP, and also includes the full renovations of kitchens, not just this portion of the work, is $4,011,471.
