Pre-Solicitation: Whole Blood Glucose Meters/Testing Supplies - FCC Butner

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of Whole Blood Glucose (WBG) Meters, associated Testing Supplies and Warranty coverage for the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Butner, located in Butner, North Carolina. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a one-year base period, with four, one year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis.

The contractor shall provide Thirty-five (35) Whole Blood Glucose (WBG) Testing Meters with charging stations, WBG meters shall be covered under warranty for the duration of the contract. WBG meters must include software capable of managing and storing WBG test results. he proposed model must be brand name or equivalent to the StatStrip WBG Testing Meter manufactured by Nova Biomedical. Quarterly Delivery Orders will be submitted by the Health Services department for the delivery of Test Strips, Control Solutions and Linearity Kits.

Estimated Yearly Quantities:

120 Cases of Test Strips (1,800 test strips per case; approximately 30 cases per quarter)

352 Control Solution 1 (approximately 88 units per quarter)

352 Control Solution 3 (approximately 88 units per quarter)

8 Linearity Kits [5 levels per kit, 1 bottle per level] (approximately 2 kits per quarter)

The solicitation will be made available on or about April 29, 2025, and will be distributed solely through the SAM.Gov website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available.
