Objective: To provide a complete repair of the Pharmacy Chiller located in Building 201 at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (VA SORCC).
Tasks:
Recover the refrigerant from circuit one of the chiller.
Remove the existing Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) and install a new EEV.
Install a new EEV cable from the controller to the new EEV.
Install new filter dryers.
Conduct a pressure test to check for system leaks.
Recharge the system with the recovered refrigerant.
Test the entire system to ensure proper functionality.
If issues remain unresolved, investigate potential software problems with the chiller.
Reprogram the chiller software as necessary to achieve a complete repair.
Deliverables:
Successful recovery and reuse of refrigerant.
Installation of a new EEV and EEV cable.
New filter dryers installed.
System pressure test results documenting no leaks.
System recharge and performance test.
Detailed report of any software issues found and actions taken to reprogram the system.
VA has already identified these items are among repairs needed, but this is not set out as an exhaustive list, The contractor is responsible for ensuring the chiller operates efficiently and resolving all persistent issues, including any software-related problems. All deliverables must be completed to confirm the repair is thorough and comprehensive.
