This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the Canandaigua and Bath VA Medical Centers, Canandaigua, New York and Bath, NY will be posting a solicitation on or about May 30th, 2025 for 528A5-24-516 - Replace 5MV Transformer at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center and Bath VA Medical Center.
Contractor is to provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, to replace the primary 5 MVA transformer in kind located in Canandaigua VA Medical Center and 25KVA transformer in kind located in Bath VA Medical center (including replacing its existing concrete pad) Work shall include disconnect and removal of the existing transformer, installation of a new transformer, connection and testing. Contractor to provide a crane service for removal and installation of equipment. Existing transformers to be turned over to VA. All Electrical work to be in compliance with NEC and equipment manufacturer standards.
The project duration is 3 years due to the current estimated lead times of similar transformers. The Bath transformer will need to be replaced within 6 months of notice to proceed.
The NAICS code is 238210. The small business standard is $19.0 M. The cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000.. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation and is estimated to be on or about 6/11/2025.
