2026 LOCAL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, HWY 613 WATERMAIN EXTENSION

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Multi-Mart Water Association, Inc. on
the 15th day of July 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (local time) and then at said time, be publicly opened and
read aloud for the construction of:
Project : 2026 LOCAL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, HWY 613 WATERMAIN EXTENSION
Contractors have the option of submitting their sealed bids either in person, US Postal Service or by
carrier. Sealed Bids may be delivered or sent to Multi-Mart Water Association Inc. care of the
engineering office of Batson & Brown, Inc., located at 11267 Old 63 South, Lucedale, MS 39452,
prior to, and up until the scheduled bid opening time. It shall be the bidder's responsibility to ensure
delivery of any bid submission is made prior to said time. (Bids submitted by mail are encouraged to
be made earlier than date of opening, to be accepted at the engineer's office and held until time of
bid opening).
All bid envelopes shall contain the bidder's name, mailing address and certificate of
responsibility number on the outside of the envelope, along with the specific name of the
project; failing which, said bid shall not be opened or considered.

Copies of the Contract Documents and Proposals may be obtained at the offices of Batson & Brown,
Inc., as referenced above, upon payment of $200.00 (non-refundable) for each set.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract
award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty consisting of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check,
or Certified Check, made payable to the owner in the amount of 5% of the total bid. The attention
of bidders is directed to the State and Federal Requirements within this Contract. The contract time
shall be 95 calendar days.

Bids may be held up to 90 days from the date of the bid opening for review of the bids and
qualifications of the bidders prior to Contract award. Multi-Mart Water Association, Inc. reserves
the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Domestic Preference
This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title
IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, 70901-70953. Absent
an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in
this project must be produced in the United States.
