AMENDMENT #4
The purpose of this amendment to previous Combined Solicitation Synopsis is to answer a second round of vendor questions. NOTE: Please see previous amendment to this solicitation/synopsis.
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
QUESTION 1: The drawing that says it s Phase 1 (and the title of the requirement is Phase 1) only has 9 beds but there are 18 on the solicitation. What is to happen with the extra 9 beds? Or is that an incorrect # for this phase?
ANSWER 1: It should only be 9 beds instead of 18.
QUESTION 2: The solicitation states we are removing existing furniture but it s not clear what that furniture is. It says quantity 9, but I don t know if that s 9 rooms full of furniture or 9 items. I originally was assuming it was just like for like (remove 18 beds & 9 desks) but the answers to the questions say there are no existing desks and that there are some wardrobes that are bolted down. The drawings looks like there may be some nightstands and possibly wardrobes or dressers but not totally sure what the pieces are or if they all need to be removed. Can you provide a list of what items need to be removed and, I assume, disposed of and confirm that only the wardrobes are bolted (if we are to remove those). I m kind of thinking we d only be removing the 9 existing beds since the solicitation doesn t include furniture like wardrobes & nightstands.
ANSWER2: We will need 9 old beds removed to put the new 9 beds. Wardrobes and nightstands are actually not part of the requirement. Please disregard any reference to wardrobes and nightstands.
QUESTION 3: Is the removal to be done at the same time as the install or is there time needed in between to clean floors or paint?Â
ANSWER 3: Removal should happen at the same time as install because the Veterans are using the beds 24/7.
As far as the references to remove existing, we will need all 9 existing beds removed so the new beds can install in the spot. Any moving around to make it fit like the plan will work. There are currently no existing desks to move.
QUESTION 4: Will all rooms be able to be done on the same day (assuming the rooms are occupied) or do they have to be done in multiple phases?
ANSWER 4: Rooms should be done on the same day. QUESTION 5: Request for cade file. See below QUESTION 6: There are conflicting statements in the SOW regarding work hours, so I would like to clarify whether we will be required to perform the work outside of normal business hours, as this can have an adverse impact on our labor pricing.
ANSWER 6: It is not anticipated work will be performed outside of normal business hours. Most likely work will be performed during the weekday.
