The purpose of this single source announcement is for the requirement for Initial/Recurrent ground school and flight training to FAA inspectors/pilots in the Falcon DA-6X for Flight Standards Service Training Division (AFB) employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The FAA intends to award on a single source basis with CAE Simuflite, INC of Dallas, TX, as they are the only known source. It is anticipated the resultant contract will be an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery with Firm Fixed Price CLINs. The contract is anticipated to be a base plus four options periods, a total of five years in length.
Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA’s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
This announcement is for informational purposes only and not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to Boeing and is not available for full and open competition. All questions pertaining to this announcement should be addressed in writing to Joe Oglesby, joe.oglesby@faa.gov no later than 2pm (CT) on February 14, 2025.
