FORTIFIED Bulk Course Codes for Online/Remote Training Courses

The Minnesota Department of Commerce - Programs for Innovation and Equity (PIE) unit is seeking to purchase bulk course codes for online/remote training courses FORTIFIED Roofing Contractor—High Wind & Hail and FORTIFIED Wise Evaluator - High Wind and Hail to be utilized by roofing contractors and evaluators affiliated with Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and Contractors Association of MN (CAM). It is the State’s intention to contract with Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety / FORTIFIED for this purchase.

The FORTIFIED standards are a research-based set of construction upgrades designed to enhance a home’s ability to withstand the impacts of severe weather. These standards go above the building code and are designed to enhance a home’s ability to withstand the impacts of extreme weather. These training courses will give contractors and evaluators the expertise needed to implement the Strengthen Minnesota Homes program.

This purchase has been deemed a single source as Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety / FORTIFIED is the sole developer and owner of the FORTIFIED standards and only provider of FORTIFIED training and certification programs. The training content is proprietary and not available through any third-party vendor.
