24041 Emergency On-Call Debris Management Services

Contractors will be required to identify, extract, remove, and dispose of disaster related hazardous leaning trees and tree stump debris from ACCGov¿s improved public property, improved public areas, and public right-of-ways. This includes fill in, or grinding in place, of root ball areas of disaster damaged tree/tree stumps or flush cut disaster damaged trees/tree stumps. In addition, contractors will be required to identify leaning trees that pose a threat for straightening or bracing if it is less costly than removal and disposal. Athens-Clarke County will seek reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for having a contractor provide these services. Therefore, the contractor shall follow most recent FEMA guidelines.
