Project Description: The purpose of this RFP is to procure and implement Unmanned Aircraft Systems (“UAS”) as part of a first responder program, Drones as First Responders (“DFR” or the “Program”), for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (“CMPD”). The primary objective is to enhance public safety, improve response times, and optimize situational awareness during critical incidents. The UAS will be used for rapid deployment in emergency situations, surveillance, search and rescue, traffic management, and crime scene monitoring.
