The Town has approximately 705 backflow preventers throughout the Town. Approximately 385 are reduced pressure backflow (RFBP) devices with 358 of those devices requiring two (2) tests annually and 27 seasonal devices requiring only one (1) test annually. The remaining devices consist of approximately 320 double check valve assemblies (DCVA) and 16 Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) devices that are tested once (1) annually.
