Construction of Sugarcane Greenhouses - USDA, ARS, Southeast Area, Houma, LA

This is a pre-solicitation notice and not a request for quote, proposal, or invitation for bid, and as such, any additional information as to the size and/or scope of the project will not be available until the issuance of the solicitation. No award will be made from the pre-solicitation notice, nor will any proposals, quotes, or bids be accepted from this notice. Any submittal will only be accepted after the posting of the solicitation notice.

General Information

The solicitation is anticipated to be issued around early April 2025.

A site visit is anticipated around mid – late April 2025.

The contract is anticipated to be awarded in early- mid June 2025. All dates are tentative and for planning purposes only.

The resulting contract shall be a Firm Fixed priced construction contract.

The solicitation shall be competitive Small Business Set-Aside.

The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP).

The magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000.

To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/.

General Scope (see Attachment 1_Draft SOW for additional details)- The project scope includes the construction, and commissioning, of a new greenhouse and link, supported from the existing Head House, including new plumbing, mechanical, and electrical services at the USDA Sugarcane Research site 501 Bull Run Road, Schriever (Houma), LA.
