Construction Equipment Simulator

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of a Construction Equipment Simulator from Simformation as a sole source because of the contractor being the single provider of the goods and/or services, and their ability to meet the critical parameters and time frames to support the business need of the University. Simformation meets all four minimum requirements listed below and is the only company that is allowed to sell and access Caterpillar IP human-in-the-loop simulators:
1.) Model is the most common manufacturer of construction equipment.
2.) Model different types of construction equipment (vehicles push, pull, and lift materials).
3.) Have highly accurate construction vehicle control mechanisms.
4.) Be able to deliver the equipment on-site before the end of the calendar year. The project end date is 1/1/2026. The project cannot receive and extended and the monies must be spent before the end of the project.
An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010. Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website.
