T he school s erves a pproximately 1,600 s tudents and includes g eneral education c lassrooms, s pecial

e ducationspaces,a dministrativeo ffices,acafeteria,library/mediac enter,a nda g ymnasium.T heg oalo fthe

renovationistoextendtheusefullifeo fthebuilding,supportc urrenteducationalp rogramminga ndp rovidea

flexible, future-ready learning environment for students and staff.

2 . SCOPE OF WORK

W ork to include pressure w ashing and removal of d ebris prior to other w ork; removalofa lloldm ortartoa

d eptho f3 /4inchanda reacleaned;andreplacem ortartomatche xistingandfinalc leaning.Thecoloro fthe

m ortar to be replaced should be matched as closely as possible to the existing color.

T he w alls a re approximately 7 ,000 square feet a nd at varioush eights.Itw illbeProposer’sresponsibilityto

c onfirm exact square footage. Tuckpointing will take place on both sides of the retaining wall.

P lease n ote that there a re n otd rawingsrelatedtothisproject.Instead,prospectivebiddersmustattendthe

P re-Proposal S ite V isit in order to become familiar with the p roject. It will be P roposer’s responsibility to

c onfirm exact square footage.

6. DISPOSAL OF WASTE

with this project must be included in the Proposal.

7. CONDITIONS

E ach P roposer s hall fully acquaint itself with conditions relating to the scope and restrictions a ttending the

d etermination whether it is or not will be determined by North Carolina law.

HISTORICALLY UNDERUTILIZED BUSINESSES

Pursuant to G eneral Statute 1 43-48 Executive O rder # 150, A sheville C ity S chools invited a nd encourages
