Annual membership dues, Council of Chief State School Officers

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) intends to renew its agreement with the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) for a term of up to 12 months, covering the period from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The renewal will provide MDE with continued access to all benefits and privileges of membership in the CCSSO during fiscal 2026.

CCSSO is a nonpartisan, nationwide nonprofit organization composed of public officials who lead departments of elementary and secondary education across the United States, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Education Activity, and five US extra-state jurisdictions. CCSSO leads and facilitates collective state action to transform the public education system in the four strategic areas: Educator Workforce; Information Systems and Research; Next Generation Learners; and Standards, Assessment, and Accountability. MDE has determined that membership in CCSSO is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product to meet these needs. This is deemed a single source purchase because CCSSO membership is solely distributed and supported by CCSSO itself and is not available from other third parties.
