The expansion of the product fills defective threads and flange faces. Can be used as a repair cement for sand holes in pipe, boiler tubes of iron castings, and for repairing seams and joints, as well as anchoring studs and bolts in a variety of surfaces. X-Pando Pipe Joint Compound is insoluble in most liquids, gases, and liquid gases (acceptable for use with material having a pH level between 2 and 12). Withstands temperatures between -300 and 1000 degrees F and pressures to 5000 psig. ANSI/NSF Standard 61 approved for drinking water.
