GRSM Spence Cabin Roof Replacement

This project will replace approx. 6310 square feet of roofing on Spence Cabin. Spence cabin is a day use structure by reservation only; it is located in the Elkmont area in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

This acquisition is a 100% set aside for Small Business.

FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of construction is estimated:
(a)        Less than $25,000.

Site Visit: Scheduled for August 20, 2025, at 10am EDT. Meeting at Park Maintenance shop. Coordinates are 35° 39' 11.9999" N 83° 34' 39.0000" W. Spence Cabin is located near Elkmont Campground. Drive south from Gatlinburg, TN on Newfound Gap Road (U.S. 441) for 1.7 miles and turn right onto Little River Road toward Cades Cove. Proceed 5 miles to Elkmont Campground road and turn left. Go 1.4 miles and turn left just before the campground office (sign says Elkmont Nature Trail 0.3, Little River Trail 0.6 and Jakes Creek Trail). After crossing the bridge, take the second left into the parking lot. Parking for Spence Cabin will be on your right as you make the loop through the parking lot.
