Description of purpose work nature and volume:

The Contractor shall update the entire fire alarm system and associated equipment within multiple buildings at the main VAMC campus and Cold Springs Road campus as detailed in the Technical Requirements section, project bid drawings and documents, and VHA Master Construction Specifications. Completion of this project will provide necessary updates to obsolete life safety components throughout the medical center and improve both communication and functionality of the system.

The magnitude of construction project is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

Location of the work:

Work shall be performed at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC) campus, located at 1481 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Work shall also be performed throughout several buildings at the VA s Cold Springs Road (CSR) campus located at 2669 Cold Springs Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.

Tentative dates for issuing invitations, opening bids, and completing contract performance:

The Invitation for Bids (IFB) should be posted on/about December 6, 2024, and the Bid Opening should be within 30-45 days thereafter.

Plans will be available for inspection without charge:

The specification and drawings will be available electronically with the IFB when released.

Date by which requests for the invitation for bids should be submitted:

There will be no physical copies provided.

Set-Aside:

This solicitation is set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns.
