Z1DA--Repair Fire Doors - Construction Project #565-25-101

The Department of Veterans Affairs, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project 565-25-201, to repair fire and smoke doors located at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC.

General Scope: This project will repair fire and smoke doors located in Building Numbers 1 and 3 at the VA Medical Center located at 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. The work will require door specialists, electricians, wall finishers, and laborers. Work shall include, but not be limited to providing frame/door labels, recertification of fire ratings, and replacement of metal/wood doors and frames, refinishing walls to match existing walls. Infection control measures must be taken as directed by VA. All offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to note wall types, existing conditions, required hardware, take rough measurements, etc., necessary for proper bids. Contractor to complete construction within 150 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, but considerations for lead time on materials may be taken.

Estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.

This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. In accordance with Public Law 109-461 and VAAR 819.7003 (b), offerors must be registered and certified in the SBA Certification database as a SDVOSB. Only offers from certified SDVOSBs in the SBA database at the time of offer shall be deemed eligible for award.

Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and award a single, firm fixed-price contract. Solicitation material will be available on/about June 24, 2025. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM) Contract Opportunities website (https://sam.gov/opportunities). The Contract Opportunities website is the only official location to obtain solicitation information and documents. Offers will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Only one (1) site visit will be scheduled. Location and point(s) of contact for the site visit will be identified in the solicitation.
