RBM 65 Post Award Synopsis



Award Amount: $28,285,715



Contractor: Conrad Shipyard LLC



Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price





Description: The contract is awarded to Conrad Shipyards LLC (Conrad) for Design, Development, and Construction (DD&C) of an YRBM, designated YRBM 65. The award supports the urgent requirement of delivering additional barge to the fleet supporting the crucial need for Quality of Service (QoS).

Period of Performance: 03/13/2025 – 06/30/2027

Justification: This contract was awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C 3204(a)(1), as Conrad is the only responsible source capable of meeting the requirements within the required timeframe.





Prospect Competition: The Government does plan to pursue a competitive process for upcoming YRBMs in the future.
