Waterline Connection for Sprinklers in the Indian Creek Apartments
RFP No. 140P8525Q0061
The National Park Service (NPS), Yosemite National Park located in California, has a requirement to install waterline connections for sprinklers in the Indian Creek Apartments. This project includes locating and connecting the existing nonactive 4" waterline to the existing active 6" fire hydrant line located near the junction of Northside Drive and Tecoya Road. Work to be Performed
Provide a complete 4¿ active water line connection to the existing Automatic Sprinkler Protection system in both Indian Creek Buildings:
1. Installation of underground fire protection main, connecting to the existing water supply as shown on these contract drawings. The existing 4¿ water line shall be connected to the existing 6-inch fire hydrant line, along with two new gate valves with one being on the 6¿ hydrant line and one on the 4¿ sprinkler line, along with a new and relocated fire hydrant. Excavation, backfill, compaction and restoring surface to original condition as required for a completed project is part of the contract. Note: It first requires water based potholing to determine the specific locations of the existing abandoned versus active water lines, as well as any other utilities in the location of the noted water line connection.
2. Prepare final as-built drawings of the completed conditions, which also includes photo documentation before, during and after potholing and excavation-compaction. This information shall be provided on a flash drive upon completion of the waterline connection, along with all detailed and accurate daily construction reports developed and provided by the Contractor.
This procurement is set-aside for Small Business (SB) concerns only. Offers received from concerns that are not Small Business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220; the small business size standard is $19.0 million. The construction magnitude for this solicitation is $100,000 to $250,000.00.
The Government intends to award a single, firm-fixed-price contract. Award selection will be made on a comparative evaluation of offers considering price and other non-price factors (technical capability and past performance) as listed in the RFQ. The RFQ will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on or about 2 July 2025, at SAM.gov: https://sam.gov/. The due date for quotes is estimated to be 23 July 2025. However, this may be extended at the discretion of the Government. Prospective offerors are responsible for periodically checking these websites for any amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ.
An organized site visit has not been scheduled. If one is required/requested information on the site visit will be included in the solicitation. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT: Offerors shall be required to have a SAM unique entity identifier number and an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) in order to conduct business with the Federal Government. Offerors will be required to complete online Representations and Certifications at the SAM website.
A contract award may or may not result from this solicitation, and all costs associated with preparing proposals are at the contractor¿s own expense.
