Pursuant to Section 3-05 of the New York City Procurement Policy Board Rules, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) intends to enter into negotiations for a six-year agreement with Illumina Inc. for the purchase of the MiSeq Instruments and Nextera assay kits, reagents, equipment, instruments and other supplies, including maintenance and services. These instruments and kits will be utilized by PHL to conduct clinical and environmental testing for the detection of foodborne pathogens (ie. Listeria, Salmonella, STECs, and other enteric), waterborne pathogens (ie. Legionella), drug-resistance emerging bacteria (ie. Shigella, N. gonorrhea) and mosquito transmissible viruses including Zika and other viruses.
