The Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is responsible for the operations of the DNA Forensic Biology Laboratory and investigates unusual or unconventional deaths occurring within the City of New York.

The OCME Histology laboratory is looking to purchase the BenchMark Ultra Plus Full System with a one (1) year warranty included.  This instrument is intended to automatically stain histological or cytological specimens on microscope slides with specific immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, or in-situ hybridization reagents for in-vitro diagnostic use.

Pursuant to section 3-05 of the New York City  Procurement Policy Board Rules The Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Roche Diagnostics Corporation for the purchase of the following instrument for the Histology laboratory.

  1. BenchMark Ultra Plus Full System (w/PC) with one (1) year warranty.

Any other vendor who is capable of providing this instrument to the NYC Office of Chief Medical Examiner may express their interest in doing so by completing your response in the Manage Responses tab for EPIN #81625Y0682
