The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA, Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project.
Alcova-Boysen Thermopolis-Worland Tap OPGW project work include installation of 121-miles of optical overhead ground wire (OPGW) on existing 115-kV transmission lines; removing 121 miles of steel overhead ground wire, installation of steel angle bedrails, and anti-split pole bands to existing wood pole suspension structures, installation of underground fiber optic cable, splice boxes and associated fiber equipment, installation of spiral dampers, and performing fiber splicing and testing.
