10x Genomics Xenium Analyzer Maintenance Plan

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to 10X Genomics, Inc. on a sole source basis.

In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement listed below.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the NIH, National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) intends to issue a purchase order for the maintenance of a 10x Genomics Xenium instrument. The Xenium instrument allows for the clustering of single cell genetic material on tissue sections. This plan is to keep the Xenium instrument in working condition and reduce down-time in the event of a repair request. There are no other known vendors offering maintenance support for the Xenium instrument. 10x Genomics is the sole manufacturer of this instrument. The technology incorporated in this instrument is proprietary and manufactured solely by 10x Genomics for use on the 10x Xenium. There are no other known vendors or resellers offering maintenance support for the Xenium instrument.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it can fulfill the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates the ability to satisfy the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another company has the capability to satisfy this requirement.
