Base Scope of Work as Follows:
1. Material Submittal
A. P rovide material & system data, installation procedures, warranty data, color samples, etc. to District for Review.
2. Temporary Fencing
A. Install temporary safety fencing (to be removed upon completion of project).
3. Removal & Disposal
A. R emove all existing PIP rubber surfacing, including wear course and base layer, within the designated playground area.
B. Legally dispose of all removed materials off-site in accordance with local and State regulations.
C. Protect existing structures, utilities, and surrounding landscaping during removal operations. REV Description Date
4. Subgrade Prep.
Attachment 4.1 04/06/26
A. Contractor shall prepare the existing subgrade to receive new PIP, including minor leveling, compaction, and moisture conditioning sufficient to meet manufacturer tolerances.
5. Existing Structures
A. Contractor shall work around existing play and shade structures; no removal or relocation of these structures is included in the Base Bid.
B. Subgrade preparation and PIP installation under and adjacent to these structures shall result in a flush, uniform finished surface.
C. Proper slope and elevation for drainage, safety, and accessibility shall be maintained.
6. P.I.P. Installation
A. Install new poured-in-place rubber surfacing to Contractor selected manufacturer's specifications & code requirements. WEBSITE &
Color to be and system thickness as specified by the District. (50% Hunter Green /50% Black)
B. Finish surface shall meet required fall height protection, impact attenuation (ASTM F1292), and accessibility standards (ASTM F1951 / ADA).
C. Contractor shall ensure a smooth transition between existing and new PIP surfaces around structures.
7. Compliance Req.
A. C ontractor must hold appropriate California contractor license (C-61/D-34 for playground surfacing).
B. Contractor must be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5.
C. Prevailing wages apply (Labor Code 1720 et seq.). Sheet No.:
D. A ll work shall comply with applicable State, local, and manufacturer codes and standards.

8. Protection/Clean-Up
A. Protect existing structures, surrounding landscaping, and site features.
B. Remove debris daily and leave the site clean and safe for student use.

002 Could you please provide the critical fall height of the playground equipment? This would be the tallest deck height of the existing playground structures currently on site. Tallest deck height of existing playground is (~64").
003 Is access the project site through the side gate adjacent to the playground? Please confirm whether access through this gate is approved, restricted, or requires escort/ coordination with site staff. Side gate (adjacent to playground) may be utilized. Coordination will with staff will only be required until temp fencing is in place. See below.
004 Please confirm if the parking lot area is approved for staging and dumpster placement, or if an alternate location is required. Parking/staging area will be finalized during preconstruction meeting.
005 Is all scope of work to be completed after business hours and weekends? Set up and mobilization may be completed during standard operational hours if noise is minimal and staff/student interaction can be avoided.
