WOODS FERRY #7 TIMBER SALE

This timber sale is approximately 155 acres and is divided into 2 sale areas. Area 1 is a 135-acre marked thinning of 33-year-old longleaf pine. All trees marked with orange paint are to remain unharmed. All unmarked trees are to be harvested. There is a hardwood component that is to be harvested if markets allow. Area 2 is a 20-acre clearcut of 33-year-old loblolly pine. There are a couple leave trees marked with orange paint that are to remain unharmed. All unmarked trees are to be harvested. The logging slash will be scattered back through the stand. The DISTRICT PROJECT MANAGER will routinely assess the timber harvest to ensure the objectives are being met.
