SITE CONDIDITONS AND ACCESS
Site access is limited. Contractors are strongly urged to carefully evaluate the site and determine
the means and methods necessary to complete the work considering the physical and

The purpose of visiting the site is to allow prospective bidders to examine existing conditions,
access limitations, staging opportunities, bridge and culvert conditions, waterway conditions,
adjacent properties and other factors that may affect performance of the work.

Submission of a bid shall constitute acknowledgment that the bidder has inspected the site and
has satisfied itself regarding conditions that may affect the cost, means, methods, equipment

other material within the project area.

characterization or testing required by the Contractor's proposed disposal facility or otherwise
necessary for lawful transportation and disposal of the material.
The cost of such routine or disposal-facility-required testing shall be included in the Contractor's
lump sum bid.
The Contractor shall review the City's available analytical results before selecting its proposed
disposal facility and establishing its bid price.
UNANTICIPATED HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
The lump sum bid should include testing and disposal of material reasonably anticipated based
upon the information contained in the Contract Documents and the City's sediment sampling
results.

regulated contamination or pollutants requiring special handling or disposal substantially
different from that reasonably anticipated from the information provided with this solicitation,

disposal of previously unidentified hazardous material shall be negotiated through a written
change order based upon documented actual conditions and applicable disposal requirements.
