Wireless Network Controller Upgrades

Lewisville Independent School District ("LISD", "District") is requesting proposals for refresh the Wireless Network Controllers at multiple locations across the District. This is an E-Rate eligible purchase. This request includes products and services that are eligible and may be ineligible for E-Rate.

Included in this request is to shift from a centrally located wireless configuration to a distributed wireless configuration. LISD will replace two HA pairs of Cisco 8540 controllers currently located at the districts two data centers with nine HA pairs of Cisco CW9800M controllers.
The new controllers will be located at the districts two data centers and seven school campuses. The controllers will support 6,200 access points between them. In addition to the hardware and services, this project includes five years of all needed licensing and support. LISD is seeking a turn-key proposal to complete this project. Electrical and any work that may be considered a public work is specifically excluded.

If approved, the Vendor will work with the District to seek E-Rate reimbursement for the products and services contemplated in this solicitation. See the RFP document for additional information and requirements.
