Wide Awake Road Culvert Replacement Project

The RM of North Qu’Appelle No. 187 is requesting sealed tenders for the engineering and construction of the Wide Awake Road Culvert Replacement Project, located east of NE-35-20-13-W2M along the Qu’Appelle River channel between Mission and Katepwa Lakes.

The project forms part of the RM’s forthcoming application to the Rural Integrated Roads for Growth (RIRG) – Bridge and Large Diameter Culvert Program, administered by SARM and the Ministry of Highways.

Engineering Services

Conduct independent hydrologic and hydraulic assessment confirming or revising WSA’s 1:50-year flow estimate.
Evaluate and recommend the preferred option:
a) one (1) 7.9 ft culvert, or
b) two (2) 5.9 ft culverts.
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and tender-ready documents meeting RIRG standards.
Obtain all permits and approvals (WSA, DFO self-assessment, etc.).
Provide construction supervision, inspection, and certification.

Construction Services

Supply and install culvert(s) as per approved design.
Construct coffer dams, perform dewatering, excavation, backfill, and compaction.
Complete roadbed reconstruction and surface rehabilitation.
Install riprap armouring at inlet and outlet.
Maintain traffic control and ensure public safety.
Restore site and provide as-built documentation.
