Project Description: Proposals will be received by Honey Brook Borough Authority of Chester County, Pennsylvania, online via the PennBid™ Program until 11:00 am, on June 25, 2025, for the following:
WESTBROOK DRIVE VALVE REPLACEMENT
The bids will be opened, and the bid tabulation summaries will be made publicly available on the same day at 1:00 pm (local time) on PennBid™.
The work will consist of cutting and capping an existing 8-inch water main near the end of Westbrook Drive. The existing service lateral will be cut and abandoned, and a new 1” copper service lateral will be installed. A small section of pavement restoration will be required to install the new lateral.
Bidders must conform to the General Conditions and detailed Specifications referenced in the bid package. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at PennBid™ - www.PennBid.net.
All Requests for Information shall be submitted online via PennBid™ by 12:00 pm on June 12, 2025 to allow time to post an addendum on PennBid™. No responses will be provided for requests received after that time or submitted by other means. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders through the website via email.
Bids may be publicly awarded on July 1, 2025 at 7:00 pm (local time) at the Honey Brook Borough Authority, 91 Pequea Avenue, Honey Brook PA 19344.
The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Honey Brook Borough Authority. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor’s Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Authority.
