  • Summary The City of Kalamazoo has been awarded a federal grant for West Michigan Ave, South St, & Lovell St. This is funded by the Federal Grant Program, Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE).

The City of Kalamazoo (COK or City) intends to hire a consultant for Design Engineering of the following project with three components:

1. W Michigan Ave (Lovell-W Main) – reconfiguration and construction of corridor and its intersections with Lovell, Oakland, South, and Academy (this is a continuation of the Stadium Drive corridor).

2. South St (Oakland-Pitcher) – conversion from one-way to two-way operation.

3. Lovell St (Eldred-Portage) – conversion from one-way to two-way operation.
