WEST COLUMBIA AMPHITHEATER IMPROVEMENTS

RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed bids for the construction of the above referenced project will
be received by the City of West Columbia at City Hall, attention Jamie Hook, located at 200 12th
Street, West Columbia, SC 29169, May 12 at 2pm. The envelope should be clearly labeled with the
project information as well as the text “SEALED BID” in a clearly legible position.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of amphitheater park improvements that shall
include but not be limited to repair and extension of existing stairs to the river, concrete landing,
concrete sidewalk, demolition, the re-installation of concrete sidewalks to meet ADA guidelines,
minor asphalt patching, trench great irrigation repair, and landscaping. The project scope consists
of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, and means necessary to complete the project as per
plans and specifications. Contractor shall coordinate with city staff and local tubing company to
complete stair repair and expansion improvements first.
PRE-BID MEETING: A Mandatory Pre-bid meeting will be held On-Site on Tuesday May 6th,
2026 The purpose of such meeting will be to review this project and to answer any questions
regarding the project. Any Contractor that does not attend the pre-bid will be disqualified. Please
observe social distancing protocols and note that the consultant will enter each attendee’s
information for the record. Consultants should also bring a business card for the record.

The preference is that questions be submitted by email. The answers to all questions asked will be
shared with all participants in the Bid process.
