West Ashbridge Street Culvert Maintenance and Repair Project R

Project Description: East Bradford Township, Chester County will receive sealed bids online for the West Ashbridge Street Culvert Maintenance and Repair Project. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until 11:00 A.M. local time, October 24, 2024. The bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud on October 24, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. local time, at the East Bradford Township Building, 676 Copeland School Road, West Chester, PA 19380. East Bradford Township will award the bid at a public meeting, the time, date and place of which will be announced at the bid opening.
The project includes providing all labor, materials and equipment to complete the construction of the maintenance and repairs to the West Ashbridge Street Culvert in West Chester, PA. Project includes replacement of the existing western corrugated metal pipe arch with elliptical reinforced concrete pipe, repair and rehabilitation with geopolymer lining of the eastern corrugated metal pipe and concrete box culvert extension, repair of the downstream headwall, removal of the existing upstream headwall and wingwalls, construction of a new upstream headwall and wingwalls, placement of rip-rap scour protection, installation of guiderail, restoration of all areas disturbed during the construction of the project, and any and all work as shown on plans titled, West Ashbridge Street Culvert Maintenance and Repair Project, prepared by Gilmore and Associates, Inc. last revise May 10, 2024.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., October 10, 2024, at the East Bradford Township Building, 676 Copeland School Road, West Chester, PA 19380.

The project is subject to prevailing wage. Prevailing wage project rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry shall be required.
The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, 65 P.S. Sections 67.101-3104, the Steel Products Procurement Act, 73 P.S. Section 1881 et seq., the Trade Practices Act of July 23, 1968, P.L. 686 (71 P.S. Section 773.101 et seq.), and the Public Works Employment Verification Act (71 P.S. Section 656.1 et seq.).
The project is being financed in whole, or in part, by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority.
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the form of a certified check or bid bond in a form acceptable to the Township made payable to the Township in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. The selected bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount in a form acceptable to the Township. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. East Bradford Township reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids on any basis whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality in the bids, and to accept a bid which is in the Township’s judgment in the Township’s best interests, as permitted by law.
