Welded Steel Pipeline Materials

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a pool of qualified vendors to provide welded steel pipe and specified pipeline appurtenances in support of Seattle Public Utilities’ (SPU) Water Planning Seismic Readiness Program. In anticipation of potential large scale water pipeline ruptures and damage, SPU is acquiring a cache of large diameter steel and ductile iron pipe and associated repair material.

SPU plans to stage this material at a small number of outdoor storage areas on lands managed for the provision of municipal drinking water supply. We anticipate potential pipe orders ranging from 36-inch inside diameter to approximately 89-inch diameter.
