The State University of New York Upstate Medical University will receive sealed bids for Project No. 1257 Titled Weiskotten Hall Monument Sign until 2:00 PM Local Time on June 5, 2020 at:
To limit the size of the public gathering, bidders are strongly encouraged to submit bids using an electronic proposal or submit bids as early as possible by using a delivery service and the bid modification process permitted in part (7) of section 3 of the information for bidders.
Electronic proposals will be accepted and shall be sent to email@example.com These bids should be sent within one hour of the bid. (from 1:00pm – 1:59pm). The subject of the email shall be the name of the bidder, the title of the project and the project number.
If you are delivering the bid proposal in person bidders are asked to stay in their vehicle to finalize their proposals. Bidders wishing to access the building must be at the main entrance to the building between 1:25 pm and 1:45 pm, and those bidders arriving after 1:45 pm are not assured entry into the building. Only one person from each bidder will be allowed in the bid opening room.

All bid proposals shall be delivered by hand or electronically to the above locations and must be received at such time.
Scope of work: is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for the Weiskotten Hall Monument Sign project includes the installation of an illuminated sign on a masonry base. The sign will be an aluminum panel cabinet with internal LED lighting and push thru acrylic lettering. The masonry base will include a cast in place concrete wall with brick masonry veneer. Additional concrete paving with unit paving will be provided to create a seating area behind the sign. A radius bench will be provided for seating along with deciduous shrub plantings and ground cover will be provided as part of the overall design.
The site will be made available for inspection and the bidder shall examine the site prior to submitting it’s bid. The bidder can make arrangements to visit the site by contacting the designated staff Charles L. Johnson at 315-414-7445 .
All work on this Contract is to be completed within 120 calendar days, after all final approvals, which may include approvals of the New York State Attorney General and the Office of the State Comptroller.

SUNY Upstate Medical will accept business checks, credit cards or cash for this deposit (no personal checks will be accepted). Accordingly, a non-refundable deposit check in the amount of $49.50, made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University is required. Deposits less than $49.99 are non?refundable.

Bids must be submitted as three (3) complete packages, which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 20% MBE and 10% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project.
