Bid Synopsis:	The State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation (WisDOT or DOT), through their Purchasing Unit (Purchasing), intends to use the results of this procurement to establish a contract for Weigh In Motion (WIM) Axle Sensors and associated components, from the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder(s). WisDOT utilizes vehicle axle sensors to collect vehicle weight, classification, speed, and volume data to provide a statistically sound basis for development of adjustment factors used in the conversion of short duration counts to estimate Annual Average Daily Traffic. The sensors provide information for the development in annual growth and axle adjustment factors for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Traffic Forecasting, and Pavement Design of Wisconsin Highways. The WIM sensors will be used throughout the state at new and existing data collection sites and will be installed in stable/good concrete or asphalt pavement at a free-flowing traffic location.
