1. The bid forms only contain a line for the Base Bid Total and not a separate line for
the Bid Alternate Total, where should the total for the Bid Alternate be included?
Answer:
The basis of contract award will be the lower bidder for the Base Bid. It is the City’s
sole discretion to add, or not add, the Alternative Bid(s) to the Base Bid contract.
In the line labeled “Base Bid”, only include the total costs for bid items #1-21. For
the Bid Alternate section complete the columns labeled “Unit Price” and “Total
