WC2408 Modular Housing

Project Description: Work included under this Project consists of Temporary Student Residence at the M1 Parking Lot, 814 South Matlack St. West Chester PA 19383. West Chester University (WCU) has procured (20) Single five-bedroom modular units, an Amenity building consisting of (2) modular units, and a Dormitory building consisting of (9) modular units. WCU has procured the furnished delivery, and installation of the aforementioned modular units over an existing parking lot. The scope of work under this project includes multiple trade contracts to furnish and install site and building components to facilitate the establishment of the student housing campus with necessary contiguous platform decking, ramps, steps, plumbing, fire, and electrical utility service entrances, connection and distribution to each modular unit, fencing and associated site preparation and improvements. Work includes, but is not limited to, selective site preparation, excavation and trenching for utility connection and distribution for domestic water, fire water, sanitary, and electrical/low voltage utilities. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnish and installation of framing, footings, and supports for platforms, stairs and ramps including railings and accessories. Work includes, but is not limited to, exterior lighting, heat tracing, new electrical services, switchboards, panelboards, and distribution to modular units. Work includes, but is not limited to, pipe insulation, new domestic water, fire water, and sanitary connections and distribution to modular units. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnish and installation of site improvements such as storm water management practices, bollards, fencing, gates, bicycle racks, and landscaping.
