WAYLAND LIBRARY INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS

24-1024-IFB

The Town of Wayland, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS at the Wayland Free Public Library, located at 5 Concord Rd, Wayland, MA 01778.  The scope of work includes but is not limited to, the following:

• Renovations to the Children’s Library, including select demolition scope, flooring system replacement, and new lighting. Scope also includes renovations to two existing restrooms and construction of built-in storage cabinet.

Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 149.

Beginning Wednesday, September 25, 2024, complete sets of bidding documents, including bid forms, may be electronically downloaded from the Town of Wayland website at: www.wayland.ma.us/bids by selecting “24-1024-IFB WAYLAND LIBRARY INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS”

Bid documents are made available to all bidders in electronic form at no cost; bidders desiring hard copies of the Drawings and Specifications shall be solely responsible for all costs related to printing and shipping of hard copy documents.

The Town of Wayland shall receive General Bids at the Town of Wayland Town Manager’s Office, First Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778 for the Wayland Library INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS, Contract No. 24-1024-IFB, until October 16, 2024 at 2:30PM for Filed-Sub Bidders and until October 30, 2023 at 2:30PM for General Bidders, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted.

An optional pre-bid conference and site walk-through will be held at the project site (5 Concord Rd, Wayland, MA 01778) on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM.  No preregistration is required. Contractors are invited to meet the owner representative at the Children’s Library Exterior Door.

• Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this Contract.
• DCAMM Certification is required for this project if Bid Price is $150,000 or greater.
• 5% Bid Bond is required.
• The estimated cost of this project is $230,000

The Town of Wayland reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, to reject any/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or informalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the Town.
