LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by the City Engineer on behalf of the Director of Administration,
City of Wooster, State of Ohio, at the office of said City Engineer, 538 N. Market Street,
Wooster, Ohio, 44691 until twelve o'clock noon, Thursday, January 15, 2026 for the WAY -
VAR WOOSTER STREETS FY26 RESURFACING PROJECT in accordance with the
specifications on file in said office.
Project Description: Mill and fill asphalt pavement to improve pavement surface on Burbank
Road (Quinby to Elm), E. Wayne Avenue (Beall to Palmer), E. Larwill Street (N. Market to
Beall), W. Liberty Street (Oak Hill to Larwill), and Prairie Lane Road (Old Columbus to the
NS RR tracks)
Project Cost: The Engineer’s estimated construction cost for this project is $1,000,000.
Project Completion Date: September 30, 2026.
Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, and be
accompanied by a bidding bond or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid price as a
guaranty that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured
OR provide a contract bond for 100% of the bid amount.
Copies of the contract documents are on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Wooster,
Ohio, are available for inspection by prospective bidders in the office, and on the City’s bidding
information webpage https://www.woosteroh.com/engineering/bidding-information. Bidders
must register on ViewPoint and obtain the plans in pdf via email (no cost). Bidders must be
registered through ViewPoint for their bids to be considered.
Bidders are required to use the forms will be furnished on application. Bids shall be sealed and
marked “WAY – VAR WOOSTER STREETS FY26” and mailed or delivered to the address
above. Attention of bidders is called to all requirements contained in this packet, particularly to
the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, ODOT requirements, and
various equal opportunity provisions. Each bidder must have the appropriate, current ODOT
prequalification for roadway projects and present their Certificates of Qualifications at the time
of the bid opening. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, and/or alternate unit prices.
