2025-2026 Watershed Hay Harvesting Bids

The Borough of Hanover is soliciting bids for the harvesting of hay at areas designated at the Lawrence Baker Sheppard Dam off of Grand Valley Road for the years 2025-2026.

Copies of the information and instructions for bidders can be accessed by visiting https://www.hanoverboroughpa.gov/Bids.aspx or are available at the Hanover Borough Office, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.  Bids will be opened at a public meeting on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hanover Borough Municipal Building, 44 Frederick Street, Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Bid security in the amount of ten (10%) percent is required in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, cash or bid bond payable to The Borough of Hanover, and will be returned to all bidders upon execution of the contract by the successful bidder.

All bids must be plainly marked “Hay Bid” and be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Office of the Borough Secretary, 44 Frederick Street, Hanover, Pennsylvania by no later than 9:00 AM on March 19, 2025.  Bid award will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the meeting of Hanover Borough Council.

Council reserves the right to waive defects, reject any or all bids, or to award as it deems to be in the best interest of The Borough of Hanover.
