This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation for Respondents to provide two turn-key WaterFEL High-Power Modulators that include the klystrons (20MW peak and 20kW average power) needed to power the two LINACs of the FEL, together with their solenoids, all required ion pumps (including their controllers and power supplies), the RF preamplifiers, and (optionally) radiation shielding for the two klystrons in accordance with the terms of this RFP. The University of Waterloo intends to select one vendor that meets or exceeds the Requirements identified in this RFP.
