Separate sealing BIDS for the construction of the Noyes Road 30-inch Water Main will be received
at Manchester Water Works, 281 Lincoln Street, Manchester, New Hampshire 03103, until 10:00
A.M. local time on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024. BIDS will then be publicly opened and read
aloud. The project includes approximately 1,700 linear feet of 30-inch ductile iron (DI) water main
on Noyes Road and the adjacent easement at 56 Noyes Road in Londonderry, New Hampshire, as
well as valves, hydrants, and other appurtenances. The project also includes replacement of the
existing septic and leach field system of the abutting 56 Noyes Road property. Work includes
removal of existing disposal system and complete replacement as defined by the contract drawings.
1. Completion time for the project will be the dates specified in the “Notice to Proceed” as
follows:
November 1, 2024

2. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total
Bid Price.
3. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, and will be
required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the
acceptance of his Bid.
4. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof.
5. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be
funded in whole or in part by:

Contract Documents may be viewed and downloaded as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file free
of charge at www.accentblueprints.com. Copies may be obtained for a fee by completing an order
online or by calling 978-362-8038 for each set. Completed orders may be picked up at the office of
Accent Printing located at 99 Chelmsford Road, North Billerica, MA 01862 (978-362-8038), from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover
handling and mailing fees. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable. For addition to
the project plan holder’s list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders
obtain the Contract Documents directly from Accent. Interested bidders will be prompted to register
an email address with Accent to access the documents.
There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for January 16th, 2024 at 10:00 A.M.
at Manchester Water Treatment Plant, 1581 Lake Shore Road, Manchester, NH 03109.
MWW reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids when such action is
deemed in the best interests of MWW. Non-responsive and/or unbalanced bids may be rejected.
Manchester Water Works Contractor Prequalification
ARTICLE 1 GENERAL
1.1 Manchester Water Works (MWW) is seeking qualifications from experienced contractors
for the construction of the Noyes Road Water Main located on Noyes Road and an easement
at 56 Noyes Road in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
1.2 The Noyes Road Water Main project includes installation of approximately 1,700 linear feet
of DI water main to connect the existing Londonderry Water Storage Tanks to the MWW
water system. The water main route will include traversing cross country from the existing
Londonderry Water Storage Tanks, through lot 15-35C (56 Noyes Road), then extending
parallel to the existing 16-inch water main in the public right of way in Noyes Road and
connecting to the existing distribution system at the intersection with Rockingham Road (NH
Route 28).
1.3 Only contractors and/or subcontractors with demonstrated experience constructing large
diameter water main in cold-weather climates shall be considered.
1.4 Only contractors designated as being prequalified by written correspondence from MWW
shall be considered for invitation to submit bids for this project.
ARTICLE 2 INTERPRETATIONS
2.1 All questions pertaining to the meaning or intent of the Request for Qualifications shall be
