ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

281 Lincoln Street, Manchester, NH 03103

Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Cohas Avenue 20-inch Water Main will be
received at Manchester Water Works, 281 Lincoln Street, Manchester, New Hampshire 03103, until
2:30 P.M. local time on March 10th, 2026. BIDS will then be publicly opened and read aloud. The
project includes approximately 2,800 linear feet of 20-inch zinc coated ductile iron (ZCDI) water
main on Cohas Avenue between the Cohas Pump Station and the intersection of Cohas Avenue and
Bodwell Road as well as valves, hydrants, and other appurtenances.
Only bids received from prequalified bidders shall be considered for award of the project.
1. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in
the “Notice to Proceed” as follows:
September 1st, 2026
May 28th, 2027

Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $ 1,200 for each calendar day of delay
from the date established for substantial completion, and $ 1,200

2. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total
Bid Price.
3. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, and will be
required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the
acceptance of his Bid.
4. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof.
5. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded
in whole or in part by:
- American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
- NHDES Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund (DWGTF)

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for February 19th, 2026, at 10:00AM
in the assembly room at City of Manchester Water Works Business Office, located at 281
Lincoln Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
MWW reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids when such action is
deemed in the best interests of MWW. Non-responsive and/or unbalanced bids may be rejected.
